He is happy to be alive and safe. I talk to him and give him a name Friday because it%u2019s Friday today. I tell him my name and teach him %u201cyes%u201d and %u201cno.%u201dWe spend the night in the cave. The next day, we go to the top of the hill and see through my telescope that the cannibal canoes are gone. We are alone on the island. We go to the beach and see the dead cannibals. Friday wants to eat them, and I get angry. I tell him it%u2019s not okay to eat them, but then I think Friday is also a cannibal. We bury the cannibals. When we get back my house, I decide to make a small tent for Friday between the two fences. At first, I%u2019m a little scared because I don%u2019t know if Friday might hurt me. After a while, I realize I don%u2019t need to be afraid. Friday is really nice, and I become like a father to him. In many times after that, he shows me he%u2019s really loyal to me.
